Juicing with Jack

A little while back I was "told" (aka. infomercial) that I really really needed a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer and I obeyed.

Here is what happens when you "Juice with Jack" for 3 hours...
*Double click on the pic to better check out all the scrumptious flavors.*

Honestly, I did not juice and freeze all this juice just for me. Oh no... this is why I have Jack.
My sweet sis-in-law, Kenzie, had a pretty extensive surgery on her jaw. (They had to break it, put screws, plates, etc...) So because her jaw is wired shut, she has to be on a liquid diet for 6-8 weeks. I thought I would help by juicing a few little vitamins to keep her strong.

This batch is just the beginning, I plan to keep going and get a few other flavors (strawberries, raspberries, red/green peppers, grapefruit, grapes, mango's, papayas- you name it, Jack can juice it- probably).
So if you ever decide that your just plain tired of CHEWING YOUR VEGGIES, I'd be happy to juice you a little...

(Salad in a Glass)
It is actually pretty darn good.

I want to believe you (about the Salad-in-a-glass) but am not sure I do.
One of our favorites is:
2 large apples, cored
1 pear, seed removed
2 large carrots
1/4 head broccoli
1 ripe banana

I hope you and Jack enjoy a long and loving relationship. And I hope Dan can take it. ;)

I have owned my J.J (Jack's Juicer) for about 4 years now, and I LOVE IT!!!! I juice AT LEAST 3 times a week. The juices are SO good! The other day, I seriously did apples, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, pineapple, carrots, celery, cucumber, and grapes all in one juice....just to see.....and it was DELICIOUS!! GO FIGURE!

Funny thing... Tonight while at Costco I was contemplating should I purchase "Jack"? Would I really use it? Would my kids like all the funky juices? Needless to say, I came home with an iron and not "Jack". Let me know how the juicing goes, it could be my next purchase! The Salad-in-a-glass... hummmm that could take some getting use to!

Wow, all these people already knew about Jack. I'd never heard of it.
I don't know about drinking veggies, but if you sneak them in with the fruits and I can't tell, then count me in! Don't get me wrong, I like veggies, I'd just rather get that satisfying crunch from eating them (assuming my jaw isn't wired shut - which it isn't at the moment).

You're so good! And Jack looks pretty intriguing...

Oh my heck! I saw that on T.V. and I was really fascinated with it.
I thought that would be great for my "picky" kids.
I looked into a Walmart one to see if I would really stick to it. But the price for a good one there I thought that I should just go with the Jack one.
I will let you know if I cave in and purchase it.

Dan and Deanne you really saved me! Surprisingly, I LOVE the salad in a glass...it fills me up! Thank you for all the time you put towards making this experience a little better for me. I miss you already!

So are you offering to sell these juices?? I will totally buy some from you if you are. Sounds like a great way to get veggies into my kids.

Wow! I'm not at all sure about the salad in a glass idea, but then again I don't eat salad much anyway. But the fruity stuff for sure looks delish. Fun! And what a great way to help Kenzie.

That is such a great idea. I make smoothies every morning and I have already gone through two blenders this year, maybe I need to trade them in for the jack version. What a healthy way to get in your greens and fruit!
