As many know, we absolutely LOVE HALLOWEEN at our house! So of course this year was no exception. The entire month seemed to be filled with fun festivities.
We started out by adding a few festive touches around the house.
*Everyone needs a BOBBLE HEAD FRANKENSTEIN*
Of course we need a SPIDER.
This is where I found the spider-- in time out!
This is another treasured thing I found for $2 one year.
(You have no idea just how fitting this is.)
So because I was not the best at remembering my camera for every event and moment, here was our Halloween agenda.
Then we were ready for a whole lot of...
Running through the crunchy leaves
Hikes to see the beautiful color splashed on the mountains
Hayrides
Picking out Pumpkins
Carving the Pumpkins
The Pumpkin Walk
Plenty o Halloween parties
(so sorry to those whose parties we couldn't make it to- hopefully next year?)
and
WAY TOO MUCH CANDY!
(Is it bad that Tate puked all over his bed the night BEFORE Halloween?)So because I was not the best at remembering my camera for every event and moment, here was our Halloween agenda.
We of course had to start the day with a "healthy" breakfast of colorful
with butterscotch chips for the faces

Mmmmmmm.....
Oh so HAPPY!
*Might I add that this healthy breakfast did not even begin until about 10:45am because when there is no school we tend to have a bunch of lazy boys that didn't wake up until 10:15am.*
YUMMY!
Look what treasure I found at Kent's Market this year!

Don't ask what Dan is doing ( or Dancock as he referred to himself as-think of the movie Hancock with Will Smith). He was a very unpredictable Super as you can imagine.

(Ok- I'll admit it. I MADE them pose to show them off because I slaved WAY TOO MANY hours sewing every stinking stitch of these to have them undocumented. I think it will be YEARS before I sew another Halloween costume, let alone 5!)
Of course we had to get a few of the CRAZY COUPLE who created this SUPER clan!
Mmmmmmm.....
Usually I like to carry on the tradition of decorating Halloween sugar cookies, but this year I felt lazy.
So.... we made scrumptious PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES instead!

I had to have them so we had...
CHEESY POTATO BROCCOLI SOUP for dinner.
The boys thought the bread bowls were so cool that they actually ate all their soup.

We actually had this dinner a few days before Halloween because Halloween Day was booked pretty full!
Then it was FINALLY TIME to become what this family was born to become...
*Actually we got dressed up at 12noon that day and began our yearly visits to the grandparents and parents to show off the costumes.*
But we did manage to get in a little photo shoot (thanks Amy)before heading out!

I've already told you in person, but I will tell you again. Your costumes rocked! Nice work. If you never sew another costume again, I would say this is a good note to end on. :)
AMAZING! I loved seeing the five of you coming down the street! :) So nice to know I have a family of supers next door. I feel so safe!
You guys looked awesome! I can't believe you made all of the costumes. Way to go!
Man, that creepy-guy has no chance against a Super like you. You guys looked amazing! I'm incredibly impressed with those costumes. RJ and Ari liked getting their candy out of your potions book - even though they weren't sure they knew you at first. :) Your Halloween celebrations are so much fun. Your kids (did I say this last year? Maybe) are going to have some awesome memories.
Dig the mini-skirt, Dee.
You guys rock.
You guys look great!! Quite the little seamstress you have become Deedilly Doodilly. I am so glad you had fun!
