I just wanted to ask for your prayers for my youngest brother, Shane. He was life flighted to McKay Dee Hospital last night. He went up for a header, as he is known to do, during an indoor soccer game. As he was coming back down, another player was coming up and they collided. Shane was knocked flat. He tried getting up but then began to have a grand mal seizure. It probably lasted about 7 -10 minutes. Luckily my other brother Brian was on the field playing as well. He administered a priesthood blessing to Shane. As soon as the blessing was finished, the seizure stopped. Life Flight arrived and was planning to take him to the University of Utah, but because Shane seemed to be improving, they changed to McKay.
Shane has bruising on the frontal lobe of his brain, and 3 facial fractures on his skull. He has improved significantly and no more seizures so he was able to go home today. However, he is on a strict home watch. No work, no driving, no big physical activities for one month. Of course with any head trauma, he will need to return to the hospital periodically to check for bleeding.
We are so grateful he is doing as well as he is, but continue to ask for additional prayers in his behalf so that he can continue to heal properly. Yet, another lesson learned on the power of the priesthood.
Thank You for your prayers.

Oh no!!! I am so sorry and we will definitely be praying for your wonderful brother and your family. I am glad to hear he's already home--your first two sentences just about knocked me out of my seat and I was so relieved that he's already a bit better. Thanks for letting us know.
Oh Dee. I am so sorry to hear about this! Your brother and family are definitely in our prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope your brother and family are ok. Let me know if there is anything I could do to help. Your brother and your family are in our prayers.
So sorry, Deanne! I am praying for him now and will keep in my prayers!

Power of the Priesthood is an amazing blessing from our Father in Heaven.
Thank you for keeping the word out Dee. I know that all of these prayers are helping Shane to a quick and effective recovery. This has been such a scary experience but I'm so blessed to have family that is surrounding me and lifting me up.
Love you
Oh my. Oh heavens. Oh Deanne. I'm sorry I didn't read about this earlier. I'll put Shane and all of you in my prayers. And ask the kids and Dave to do the same. Fingers crossed. Knees bent.
We are fasting today for Kwint's mom, so we'll just add Shane in the mix. I am sorry to hear about it. I hope he continues to recover quickly.
Holy cow! I'm sorry I'm just learning about this, that's totally scary. I sure hope he's continuing to improve and that all is well.
