We still have a BLOG??
First....I am amazed that this blog is still here!! Second....I am sorry I ever abandoned it.( Notice the last entry was Trev at 8 months old?!! He was so darn cute!!!) Third....here is to New Years Resolutions!!
As a family we have set a few goals that we hope will develop into life long habits. Last year we set a goal to read the Book of Mormon together. We did it!! We finished it in 6 months time and loved it. So this year, we will read the Doctrine and Covenants. We are also memorizing the Articles of Faith. The other habit we are all wanting to develop or rekindle is that of Journal Keeping. Dan and I both used to be so good at this. We each have many journals with many a good story and so many cherished memories. When I began this blog, it became my journal, our family history. I really enjoyed doing it and printed out 2 years into books. I have another year written that I plan to print asap. But now.....almost 3 years have past with absolutely no record of our family. So sad. So much is missed. My excuses?? Hmm....I have 4 wild boys with very busy schedules. Between school, piano, competition soccer, basketball, scouts, family activities, friend activities and simply keeping them alive we seem to stay on the move! I did not even mention our church responsibilities!! Dan is choir director and the Welfare Specialist in our ward. I am now starting my 4th year as the Relief Society President. The start of this calling oddly correlates to the decline of my record keeping, but alas it can no longer be. We have a pretty crazy awesome family and I want our posterity to know all about us!!! I want them to feel of our testimonies in Jesus Christ and the experiences that help us learn and grow. So....here we go!!!!!

Trev- 8 months!!!
He loved it!
He is a pro at sitting and loves to be surrounded with a few toys and be entertained by his brothers. And believe me... there is LOTS of entertainment!
He rolls from tummy to back.... BUT because he absolutely hates his being on his tummy he WILL NOT roll back. Therefore the little soul will probably not crawl. Just like all of his brothers never did.
NOPE. NO CRAWLING.
They have all LOVED standing and enjoying the view...
Therefore... they have all walked before 1 year old.
Tracen walked at 8 months, Tyler by 11 months, and Tate by 10 months.
So looks like we are headed on the same path for Trev.
Absolutely exhausting!!!
I am so in LOVE with this little bundle of cuteness!
He is so YUMMY!!

Tracen's Baptism
When Jesus was about 30 years old, He came from Nazareth to the river Jordan and was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13; Mark 1:9; Luke 3:23). John knew that Jesus had not sinned, so he did not think Jesus needed to be baptized. Instead, John felt that Jesus should baptize him. Jesus explained to John that even the Savior of the world must be baptized. ( Matthew 3:1415.)
"And John went down into the water and baptized [Jesus].
"And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and John saw ... the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Jesus.
"And lo, he heard a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye him" (Joseph Smith Translation, Matthew 3:4446
John 3:5 From the moment we first talked about baptism, we told our boys that it would be their decision whether or not they wanted to be baptized. They did not have to. (I confess, that was very hard for me to do.) And if they chose to do it, we hoped they would understand, as best they could, the promises they would be making.
At 8 years old you would hardly think there was any "sin" to be washed away. But watching him immerge from the water, you could sense the purity and perfection in that moment. Knowing that he made this decision because of his simple faith in following our savior Jesus Christ's example.
It is hard for me to find the words to adequately express all that we feel. We are so proud of Tracen. He is an incredible boy. He is so full of good. His heart is so pure and honest. He is always striving to make right choices. He has so much love to give. We feel so honored to play a role along his journey in this life and the next. Congratulations Tracen!
We love you so much!
*And THANK YOU to all the many family and friends who play such important roles in our little family's journey.*
We love you too!

Easter
Powder Mountain had a family ski day for all members of the employees families, so we were lucky enough to join in the fun.
Not only did I get the pleasure of skiing, but I got to ski with my boys. Seeing Tracen and Tyler doing and LOVING something Dan and I love to do, was so gratifying.
Tyler and Madi
We then ate a scrumptious Easter dinner of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and rolls. I made an strawberry triffle for dessert. YUMMY!!
We had a little egg hunt for the kiddos before we all had to head home.
What a wonderful day.
Easter Sunday came and the boys woke to find that the Easter bunny still had not come. Usually the fluffy guy hides their baskets and some eggs on Saturday, but I think he was a bit pressed for time this year. Silly Rabbit.
So we headed off to church in our Easter best. The boys sang with the Primary, I sang with 5 other sisters a lovely arrangement of the hymn "In Humility Our Savior", and Dan and I sang in the ward choir. The program was lovely.
As Sundays go these days, it took mom FOREVER to "stop talking in Relief Society" and get in the van. When we FINALLY got home we discovered that the Easter Bunny had not forgotten us. The boys were thrilled and had loads of fun searching for eggs and their baskets.
We are grateful for the sacrfice our Savior made for us so that we all might

Parties Galore!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
The boy seriously LOVES to read!
But then, on Saturday.... there was the FRIEND PARTY!!!
He is lucky enough to have a ton of friends. Unfortunately, he had to narrow it down a bit.

He draws these ninjas on everything!!!! The invites really turned out pretty darn cute. But most importantly Tracen was proud of them.
Then it was on to the decorations.
I confess, I am not one of those creative and talented birthday party throwers, but I do know where Zurchers is. So this is what we came up with.
We decided to have all the boys meet at our house for...
And of course...
CUPCAKES!
I so wish this picture would have turned out. I was holding a baby and in a hurry.
Dan's job?
Tracen was having a BLAST!
For some reason the big purple dinasaur was a BIG hit!

I LOVE YOU Michael..... !!!!!
It was a night full of 80's music, dancing, 80's movies, Pac Man, and some

It was totally our scene. We pulled out moves we forgot we had. Like the worm, the electric slide, Boot Scootin' Boogie, the running man... Oh Yeah!!!!!
And we had a BLAST!
On a side note, Dan really wished he had pulled out this costume from years past...
Good old Gene Simmons..... KISS!!!
