THE POLAR EXPRESS!!!!
Dan's parents got the tickets (early Christmas present), we put on our jammies, drove as far North as we could go (in Utah), we arrived at the train station, and then.... we waited....

and waited...

Grandpa Jacobs played a few games with the older boys...

The little boys got some good snuggle time...

...ate a couple fingers (as usual)..
...snuggled some more..
...peeked out the window...

...and with noses pressed to the glass...

...What do you think they FINALLY saw?...

...Some beautiful white fluffy stuff and...

... THE TRAIN!!! THE TRAIN!!!!...
The conductor called out... "ALL ABOARD!!!!"
and so we did...
Each of us found our seats...
Tate and Zeke

Riley and Tyler

Sammy and Tracen

Dan and Dee

Bruce and Christy

Leah and Joel

Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs

As we all settled in for the ride....

We sang many Christmas songs, told too many bad jokes, told a few Christmas stories, watched the snow fall, and then....
The natives got restless...

They were jumping and squealing with excitment!
Mom started downing her Hot Coccoa...only to burn her tongue...

And then..... we saw him!!! (sorry no pics amongst the excitment)
SANTA!
He was standing outside of the train right by the North Pole!
The snow was perfectly falling and the kids could not believe it!
It was so MAGICAL!
Then the train stopped and the jolly elf came aboard!
As he visited each car, he gave each of the kids a little wooden top.

I just need to add that Tate was a delight to watch. He was so caught up in the magic of being on the train, watching the snow fall with his nose pressed against the glass as we drove on the tracks, and then SANTA.... WOW!
Trev got some one on one with the conductor.

Isn't he perfect? (The conductor too)
Trev did have a slight wardrobe malfunction for most of the evening.

But still seemed to enjoy the ride.

By the end of the ride, the boys were so hopped up on the pure magic of the night, or maybe that cocoa was loaded... Obviously Tracen couldn't stop drinking long enough for a quick picture.
Thank You Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs for such a MAGICAL TRIP!

That looks like pure magic! I love it! And you are looking absolutley beautiful with a new hairdo! Can't wait to see you guys soon!!!
Wow - that is pretty cool. We're wondered about those Heber Creeper rides. You guys do such great things with your fam.
Ha Ha! I love it! How is it that we live in Heber and never knew the Polar Express was here until it was too late to go? Not a poster or advertisement to be seen. Next year we will not be missing that train.
