The kiddos were playing,
and we were making some Mother's Day gifts.
They are homemade carmel popcorn balls and they "smelled soooo sweet".
The doorbell rang and a very nice UPS man handed me a very large box containing this.... I was so excited! My very own and very FIRST sewing machine had finally arrived!
I thought the day just couldn't possibly get any better until......
I thought I was excited about the previous two items, but I think this topped them both. Probably because I had been waiting for this one the very longest.
It is so AWESOME!
I made this book at http://www.scrapbookblogger.com/ .
It was fairly simple once I figured it out. (Takes me a while on things like this.) This book contains all of our blog posts for last year. I plan to make one of these every year. I do this because I DO NOT SCRAPBOOK! Never have. Never will. And our blog has become THE PLACE where I keep a record of all we do. It is our family journal.
In fact I am so proud of this book that I will gladly show it off to anyone who wants to view it.
Now if only I can find a little time to sit down and learn how to use these treasures properly....

you will love the camera. I actually have the Cannon, but I here people like the Nikon, but once you chose a camera you are stuck, because you can't interchange the lens' and that is what cost ya the money! You should take a class to learn how to use it. I took several. The best one was through Weber State community Classes. It was taught by Howard Noel. It is awesome and only cost 55 dollars. You will be on your way to taking pictures for everyone!
p.s. I just took pictures for a wedding. First one I did. I think I like taking pictures of the babies more, but it was still fun. When I find a minute I will have to post them on my photoblog. If you want me to show you a little bit about how to use the camera I can. You should buy Lightroom. It is the best photo editing program out there. I love it. Adobe makes it, and if you get it from a college book store, it is a fraction of the price.
Wow Dee! What an awesome day for you! Can't wait to see what awesome creations you make with that sewing machine... :)
Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky YOU! Holy cow! WHAT A DAY!
(Where do you schedule things like this?)
Wow, you really cleaned up! I don't own a sewing machine, and on rare occasion, I wish I did. Mostly for fix-its. I can't imagine actually creating something on it.
I need to do the blog printing thing once a year, too.
How cute are those Mother's Day gifts?! Nice.
WOW!! What a day, you totally scored!! You will love having a sewing machine, never thought I would own one but have surprised myself with how much I use it. My opinion... You can never go wrong with a camera, they are a wonderful investment. Let me know if you decide to take a community class, I would love to take one and actually learn what I am doing wrong. Happy day to you!
What a fun day for you! Those are all great treasures! I can't wait to see the blog book in person! It looks great!
What an awesome day! Sign me up for one of those! And I love the blog book idea. Maybe, just maybe that will be enough incentive to get me blogging again! :)
Oh, I love this. I want a day like that. You will LOVE that camera. LOVE my Nikon! I took the community class up at Weber too. It was great. The only drawback was the teacher, Howard Noel, only uses Canon....so he teaches the class that way (all things Canon). But I figured it all out pretty easily. It is great as far as leaning the basics of an SLR and lighting, shot composition and all sorts of helpful hints. I would definitely recommend it. :)
Yeah, and I can't wait to see what fun things you will create with that new sewing machine. How exciting!
I want to come hang out at your house... I don't think the UPS or the FedEx man knows where I live! It's so nice to be back home, I can't wait to come hang out with you again!!! I'm also way excited for your sewing machine! We'll have to think of some great projects to break it in!
I am just catching up on your blog. I love my Nikon camera. I need to take a class to figure out how to use it. I have never seen a blog book done before and always wondered about it. I don't scrapbook either so I would love to do a book. What a fun day with so many fun gifts! Your blog is great!
